The mining and energy union says it is ready to start negotiating implementation of new laws to deliver Same Work Same Pay for Hunter Valley Coal miners.

The coalition, with support from One Nation, previously changed work place legislation to allow mining companies to employ staff via contractors on up to 60-thousand dollars a year less than permanent employees.

The Union's Hunter Valley District President, Robin Williams, said the ball is now in the Albanese Government's court to deliver on their pre-election promise.
