Tradies Raceday at the Muswellbrook Race Club has been postponed due to the excess rain.
The event was supposed to be the last race event of the year but recent downpour has affected the track.
Muswellbrook Race Club General Manager Trevor Taylor said track has been waterlogged.
"We walked the racetrack earlier this morning.
"We had 38mm of water and unfortunately the course is waterlogged.
"At this stage, they're going to look at postponing the meeting but what happens now is it goes back to NSW Racing and they will have a look at their dates then come back to us," Mr Taylor said.
Tradies Day is a new Race Day to cater for all our 'Tradies' in the Upper Hunter area.
Electricians, Fitters, Boilermakers, Carpenters, Plumbers and even machine operators were encouraged to attend and participate in the feature event 'Tradies Sprint race' to see who the quickest 'Tradie' is in the region.
It also was meant to include the feature race on the day, a new $25,000 Rusty Spanner Sprint - an Open Hcp over 1000m.
"We will notify race stakeholders once NSW Racing comes back to us with a formal date or decision," Muswellbrook Race Club said.
