Bridge works at Rouchel are progressing well despite a two-week delay to works due to rain.
The original timber bridge gas been demolished while the side track bridge was raised and secured.
Fourteen concrete piles have been put in place nine metres deep with formwork and reinforcing steel has started for the pile caps and abutments.
All 21 prestressed concrete beams have been maufactured in the contractors precast year in Redhead.
The construction of the road approaches will start in the new year, subject to weather.
