Local pools making a splash comeback

Upper Hunter residents can start diving straight into their local pools with many re-opening their doors across the Upper Hunter Shire.

The Murrurundi and District War Memorial Pool will be making a splash from midday today.

Residents attending must be double vaccinated and have proof of their vaccine status.

There will be COVID-safe protocols in place including wearing a mask, social distancing and not having any more than groups of five adults.

Meanwhile, the Merriwa Olympic Pool is expected to open early next week.

Their doors will open on Tuesday October 19 at 6am, after a delay in receiving parts for the facility.

It follows after the The Muswellbrook Aquatic Centre outdoor pool and Denman Memorial Pool opened last week.
