The Murrurundi Youth Centre has received a kind donation after they were the target of thieves last month.

Transport for NSW donated 10 brand new bike helmets to the Youth Centre after their initial ten were stolen in a tirade of break-and-enters that occurred through the town.

The stolen helmets were purchased with money raised by the community so the youths could take advantage of the new skate park that opened.

Upper Hunter Shire Council stated in a social media post they're looking forward to restrictions easing so the local youths can try out the new helmets and get back to playing safely in Murrurrundi.

The thieves also walked away that night in August with a vast range of equipment including a PlayStation 4, two televisions and boxes of snacks and soft drinks.
