Council has endorsed for comment the draft Delivery Program 2017/2018-2021/2022 and Operational Plan 2021/2022, which provides the details of how Council is going to fund and action the Community Strategic Plan (CSP) 2027.
Upper Hunter Shire Council is encouraging residents in the local Shire to give them feedback on the draft while it is on exhibition until May 28.
This year, Council has drafted a balanced budget of $110.1 million with they say a strong focus on building and restoring the regions roads including an extra $2 million dollars allocated to roads.
In addition to extra road maintenance there will be a large capital works program for roads, bridges, drainage and other infrastructure.
Projects included in the budget include the completion of the Hunter Warbirds aviation attraction, the Scone CBD Revitalisation Project and upgrades to Moonan Brook Road and Bunnan Road, to name a few.
