A Muswellbrook man will face court after being arrested on five outstanding warrants.
A 34-year-old man was arrested on the New England Highway at Muswellbrook just after 6:30pm on Wednesday night after an extensive police operation at Nundle involving Hunter Valley Police District, Oxley Police District officers and other specialist commands.
He was taken to Muswellbrook Police Station before being transferred to hospital and then back to the station where he was charged with traffic, property, judicial and revocation of parole offences.
The man was also charged with three counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm (DV), two counts of common assault (DV) and one count of intentionally or recklessly destroy/damage property (DV related).
The man will face Newcastle Local Court tomorrow after being refused bail.
The man's arrest comes as police investigate the death of a seven-month-old boy that was taken to Muswellbrook Hospital unresponsive on Sunday afternoon and tragically couldn't be saved.
Inquiries are continuing.
