An earthquake expert said there could be more tremors on the way in the Upper Hunter.
The area was hit by 4.8 and 4.4 quakes on Friday and Saturday as well as a stack of smaller rumbles.
Geoscience Australia Senior seismologist Jonathon Griffin said it is quite common to get aftershocks.

“They occur less frequently over time. In Australia we see aftershocks weeks, months and even years after an earthquake,” he said.
Geoscience Australia was swamped with reports following earthquakes at the end of last week.
The reports stretched as far away as the National Capital.
