A young Singleton man has been granted strict conditional bail after fronting court accused of sexual crimes.
18-year-old Joden Phillip Bell was supported by his parents as he appeared by video link from Singleton Police Station yesterday afternoon.
He’s charged with having sexual intercourse with a child over 14 and sexual touching.
Magistrate Kevin Hockey told the court..while he had serious concerns, the risk could be addressed by placing strict conditions on his release.
Magistrate Kevin Hockey ordered the apprentice boiler maker to live with his parents, go to the front door when police come to do checks, not leave home without one of his parents, report to police daily and not contact the alleged victim or witnesses.
He’ll reappear in court later this month.
