Several months wait on 33% rate rise decision

Upper Hunter Shire residents will have to wait several more months to find out if their rates will rise by 33 percent.

An Extraordinary Meeting yesterday was told an application to do so over the next four years had been lodged with the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal for consideration.

GM Greg McDonald told the meeting… a decision was expected from IPART in May.
