Local nurses are stepping up the fight for ‘safe staff-to-patient ratios’ and a 15 percent pay rise.
They walk off the job for an hour later today in Scone, Muswellbrook and Singleton to discuss their next moves.
Local union delegate Peggy Smith said the slow rollout of safer nurse numbers is decades away at this stage and pay negotiations have stalled.
