BHP says it will establish a dedicated hotline and website today following revelations it has been ripping off their Mount Arthur workers for over a decade.
BHP reportedly had miscalculated public holiday leave for employees at the Muswellbrook coal mine since 2010.
The Herald reports the average leave lost was six days per employee.
The stuff up has left the company with a 430-million dollar back pay bill nationally.
BHP Australia president Geraldine Slattery said this is not good enough and falls short of the standards we expect at BHP.
“The company is working to rectify and remediate these issues, with interest, as quickly as possible,” she said.
