A Muswellbrook Shire councillor said she’ll push for better community engagement with ratepayers if she is re-elected onto council.
Pre-polling stations across the Upper Hunter continue to see steady numbers of locals making their choice ahead of the election on Saturday.
De-anne Douglas said better communication is a must for the new council.

“We can’t just be doing these phone surveys to try and engage with the community to understand their needs,” she said.
“I think we need to bring the community together to better make decisions for the community.”
