The Schools Reconciliation Challenge exhibition ‘Caring for Country’ is a selection of artworks by school students inspired by First Nations peoples’ understanding of Country. Reconciliation NSW in collaboration with the National Trust of Australia invites the public to view the Schools Reconciliation Challenge artwork exhibition at Brough House, 71-73 Church St Maitland on weekends throughout August.
157 students from both primary and high schools in NSW and the ACT have created beautiful and diverse works that capture young people’s appreciation and support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander peoples’ methods of caring for Country.
This is the only scheduled site for the exhibition in the Hunter Valley, Port Stephens and the Central Coast. Open from 10am to 3pm Saturdays and Sundays, admission is free.
