A bit of a serious one guys.

Ariana Grande has never been afraid to speak out on mental health awareness and share her stories, especially in the aftermath of the 2017 Manchester bombing.

Today she has taken a break from sharing behind the scenes footage from her Sweetener tour to highlight something far more important. Ariana has shared photos of a recent brain scan to Instagram Stories highlighting the effect trauma can have on your brain health.

"Not a joke," she captioned a screenshot of three brains scans she sent in a group text message.

Displayed in the photo are two side-by-side brain scans that show what a “healthy brain” and “PTSD brain” look like. You can clearly see the difference between Ariana’s brain scan and the ‘healthy’ brain scan.

In her own words, her brain scan reveals “hilarious and terrifying” effects of PTSD.

Last year, Ariana spoke with British Vogue about her anxiety and showing signs of PTSD.

“That’s what everyone was telling me. It’s hard to talk about because so many people have suffered such severe, tremendous loss. But, yeah, it’s a real thing. I know those families and my fans, and everyone there experienced a tremendous amount of it as well.”

“Time is the biggest thing. I feel like I shouldn’t even be talking about my own experience—like I shouldn’t even say anything. I don’t think I’ll ever know how to talk about it and not cry.”
