This morning Member for the Upper Hunter Michael Johnsen joined the guys to discuss the ever growing bat problem affecting Murrurundi.
More and more bats are gathering in the town with environmental spokespeople assuring residents that they are only here for a short time due to a supply of food and that they expect the colony to move on in a matter of months.
For the residents of Murrurundi, this is not a good enough answer as the flying fox colony pose a health risk to the community shutting down water supplies and stopping children from playing in the school grounds.
$50,000 has been given to the public school to help buy shelter in order to get the kids back outside but it's not enough to solve the on-going question.
